Okay, so what happened to this forum?? It used to be so fun (at least for me). We had active members posting daily. Me, Ali, Kano, Goober, cousininfamous (skater), Supergirl, Kim Possible, Duncariel, even Obi Wannabe, those were the days of great forum fun. What happened? We banned OW, Kim Possible never posted again, and most of the members got too busy to post. And also there was elph... since he was banned, the forum has never been slower, because he caused some of our members, like Dun, to leave. So we need a way to get more members. I have asked several people to join that I know, but after they saw it, they said it looked too slow for them. That's why I asked them to join! To get the site speed up! So... we need to perform heart surgery on Eternal Eclipse. We should get the E2 RPG going, get creating the world, races, etc. again. But that should be after we get more members and a solid new community set up. If any members ever know anyone who might want to join the forum, they should ask them. We need some way to get members, because this site isn't the same as it was back in the day. I'm doing what I can to keep it ALIVE, 'cause its almost dead. It's running out of blood (the members). E2 needs more members, obviously. I realize that everyone is busy, including me. You don't need to post more, we just need more memebrs so that we WANT to post more, so that there's more of a reason to come on. I might try to email some of the old members, like KP, and I'll try to get some of my friends to join. Any other ideas? Plus, we need GOOD members, not freaks. hehe Is there anyone on MEI who would want to join or anything? Thanks for hanging on to E2 with me, guys. I just miss the days of old.

I would explain to you all why I left for that, but since the posts in which I attempted to explain myself the first time were deleted along with the member in question, I'm not going to reopen old wounds -- it just wouldn't be worth it. Just realize that the idea of the internet really is integration and community, even with people who don't necessarily share the same beliefs as you do, or who just generally rub you the wrong way. That's all I've got to say on that point.
There are about four of us who post at ME:I at all. And we don't really post that often. So that's probably a no-go. I'm pretty much a fluke myself, just because I only have one class in the month of January and don't work very often. So I won't be around much either.
But yeah. ME:I is deader than you guys.

Actually, I didn't want to band elph at all, really... my dad made me, so I had to...
It's a sad time for Forums of the world... okay, maybe just E2 and MEI. Thanks for joining again, though, Dun! We missed ya.

Indeed. One class in the month of January... with a full schedule of 6, I am envious.
However, the topic at hand. Yes, we need more members! I know I can't post as often as I used to, but I would still like to see the site keep going. More members are desperately needed! I'm not sure how many of you are on networking groups such as facebook, but select people from there might be good - people you know well and can "convince" to join in the fun here.
RPGs sound good, I would also suggest some sort of debate on simple topics, such as "Why this class is the worst class ever and why no one should be forced to endure it", but those would have to be HEAVILY moderated and controlled, which would be time consuming for those with little time and potentially hazardous to the site in general. I recall that games were always what kept things going, and random writing contests as well.
Basically, we have to make things fun, and not just make fun things to do, but have fun ourselves being a part of this site. That's what ME:I and E2 started out as - places where people could just have good clean fun, fun that originated from the founders and the people who kept things going. So, with that said, let's make threads that we'd find enjoyable that we like to discuss and keep the fun going.

Double post, yes, but just got a random idea: Would it be possible for everyone to get onto the Forum at the same time? That way we might get some activity going, and have some active posting. Random, yes, but it may be interesting.

Thou speak the truth, Kano. I like the debate idea. We could have just some simple debates between either groups of people or two people. They'd have opposite opinions, but it would probably have to be a debate on something that people don't care TOO much about (Religion being an example) so it doesn't get out of hand, of course.
Yes, the games were always a hit. I might make a new skin or something to have a change of the look/mood of the Forum.
Writing contests are always good, too. Or even just a writing prompt for a short story to post on here.
Things like that. Maybe a "weekly poll" or seomthing. Just stuff to keep things interesting. I think one problem is everything for a while, when the forum started going into a coma, was the same, or too similar. Talking about the same old thing.
So fun threads and cool new ideas will keep this forum alive. Even if people don't post daily or whatever, I'm fine with that, just so that people don't stop going on for, like, weeks at a time.
Ali hasn't been on for a while...

She's probably busy. Or her internet's down. I miss Ali. I think a new skin would be great - something a little more lively than somber grays (although I do like gray). Make the mood different. Glad you like the debate idea! I personally think arguing things like "why chocolate chip is the best kind of cookie" would be quite entertaining. And very glad to see a new member! Welcome to E2 Eb! (...did I get his name right? I think I got his name right. Many apologies if I didn't. I will get it right sooner or later.)

Totally agree. I'll try to make it as soon as I can, but no promises that it will be anytime extremely soon.

Maybe I should ask some of my friends in my classes. They like MySpace... Or we could all make a ton of alias' and make it seem like we have tons of members.
