I have tried playing the "Jews Harp". Do you know what that is? It is sometimes called the "boinger". It sounds kind of "boingy". You put this metal thing in your teeth and pluck on this thin metal thing in the middle and it goes "boing, boing". It is mostly used for bluegrass and old-time music. Has anyone ever heard of it?

Yep, I've heard of it. Tried it a few times myself. Used to know someone who could really play it. He used to do "Turkey in the Straw" incredibly fast - it was pretty cool. What have you learned to play on it so far, Eb?

I really haven't learned anything. I just tried it. People that can do it make it sound easier than it is, I think anyway.

Keep working at it, don't give up. Everyone thinks that people who can do it make it look easier than it is at first, but after awhile, it's not so bad.

Indeed, do not give up.
I press the keys of the piano to help my creative juices flow. I am a very right-brained person. Piano bridges the tender gap between the left and right mindsides. I am a self-taught pianist. I contain a strong desire to learn the violin.

Someday, probably this summer, I'm going to sit down and teach myself how to play the piano with both of my hands at the same time. So that I can play Danny Elfman. Yeeeeeaaaaah.
Hopefully I'll manage that more effectively than the way I'm teaching myself to play the guitar. Which is essentially not. Good times.
Anyway. I can play basic chords and some tab stuff on the guitar, and a bit of the bass, and in highschool I played both the clarinet and the bass clarinet in concert band. The bass clarinet has arguably one of the most beautiful tones out of the bass instruments, if you can manage to play it correctly. I also sing, and figure that your vocal chords count as an instrument.

Yep, I definitely consider your voice to be an instrument.

Oh, good. I'm not the only one who does that. If we keep it up, we'll have a band in no time. And your voice most definitely counts as an instrument, totally agreeing with Josh here.

I play violin, and am starting to learn the electric guitar. My dad played electric guitar when he was a young hippie (XD) so I am getting free lessons from him when I have time. I can only play crazy train and barracuda so far, though. :/

isn't violin really similar to guitar? because of the chords and stuff?

Pretty much. The violin is just smaller and you think of nerds when you see them... lol. No offense to violin players. I think I just dissed myself.
